    The cork was used as a bar mat for a food stand called 8ft Burger. They are currently using it at the Hornstull Market in Stockholm, SWEDEN.

    The cork works amazingly well at keeping the area dry and easy to clean. The beer is contained and maintainable. Any wet marks are quickly evaporated and at the end of the day it can be cleaned with ease.

    Customers intuitively understand that the serving area is where the cork mat and register is. It helped break any confusion of where to order. The aesthetics of the cork help break up the timber bench top with a subtle and natural contrast.

    The laser from the mouse reads the undulation of the cork so well that it is very responsive, more so than other surfaces. This coupled with the friction coefficient makes cork the perfect surface for a mouse. The mouse slides across the table with a perfect balance of tactility for the user.

    Cork is gentle on your valuable items. It won’t scratch your watch face or phone. If you lay hard objects on the cork, it will be soft on the senses.

  • Tactility

    When using a keyboard or mouse, you wrists and arms will shift across the desk quite often throughout a day of work. The cork is soft on the most sensitive areas of the arms.

    The cork always maintains a comfortable temperature, like for example if you think of a metal desk in the hot sun or in the cold winters.

Currently the cork sells mostly to those who use it for decorative plates and Jesmonite coasters. Jesmonite is a type of oven baked clay that people can make in their kitchen oven. By adding cork to either the base or the top of the coaster they get an extra layer of aesthetic and functionality.

The reason why customers like my cork is because I have designed it to be very user friendly as a peel and stick application. The cork is thin enough to cut with a pair of scissors but maintains its quality from its densely packed granuals. The customer service aspect that I provide also comes from years of hospitality jobs, but is vital in creating repeat customers that leave positive reviews, further providing customer assurance and trust to new shoppers.
