Imagine a modular and electric scooter. A slim, small and lightweight scooter that can be pulled apart and fit neatly into a backpack compartment. Each of those parts swappable for upgrades or with friends that have different colours. Modular, and personal. We see what people do to things that they don’t own, they get destroyed, mishandled and vandalised. Personalised scooters are the future.

The Dune

A bench designed and submitted for the Gold Coast Commonwealth Games in 2018. The bench was to be used in the athlete and family accomodation. The main function was to bring the athletes and their family members closer together.

Organic in shape, it was designed to represent the beach. Every side of the bench has a unique shape. From the golden sand dune to the crest of a wave, the currents flowing and the way the wind whips the sand blowing low across the beach.

Staple Gun Re-design

Just a show of computer aided drawing (CAD). The staple gun was re-designed for a university assignment using SolidWorks, I learnt a lot about components and the order of creation. In this staple gun, I created a Ronald Roller Bearing and added it to the staple gun to reduce kickback in the firing mechanism. A Ronald Roller Bearing is a unidirectional ball bearing, similar to the way a ratchet works.

Rendering

Using Keyshot, the CAD renders can make the concept more realistic to the audience. Realism in turn creates a better sense of tangibility.
